报告摘要:
Recently, the layer-structured compounds, such as SnSe and In4Se3, exhibit excellent thermoelectric (TE) properties due to the ultralow lattice thermal conductivity (κ_L) from strong lattice anharmonicity. It is therefore significant to unceasingly explore new materials with intrinsically low κ_L and high zT values , and identify the origin of the intrinsically low κ_L from the perspective of the crystal structure, chemical bonding and lattice dynamics. In this report, the layered SnS and SnSb2Te4 compounds with intrinsically low κ_L are taken as research objects. In conjunction with first-principles calculations, the mechanisms of the intrinsically low κ_L are elucidated. Furthermore, the thermoelectric performance of these materials is optimized by electronic band and phonon engineering.
报告人介绍:
重庆大学物理学院在读博士生,师从卢旭和周小元教授,主要研究兴趣为热电材料及相关理论计算。近年来以第一作者在《Adv. Energy Mater.》、《Nano Energy》、《Mater. Today Phys.》等期刊发表SCI论文4篇,参与撰写英文书籍章节并在Springer 上出版。
